Garifuna Legacy Project

Empowering the Garifuna Community Through Education and Action

Through educational programs and community events, we equip Garifuna individuals with the tools they need to thrive in Houston. Our services focus on language access, civic engagement, and cultural preservation—empowering families while honoring our roots.

Over 100 students have participated in our ESL and Citizenship Prep classes—helping Garifuna immigrants build confidence and take meaningful steps toward U.S. citizenship.
